This conference is designed to provide an excellent opportunity for all delegates to interact with basic, translational and clinical scientists from academia, medicine and industry from around the world. So that the delegates can maximise their interactions the University of Nottingham has provided specifically reduced rates for accommodation at its Campus.

  • Please note that the Halls of Residence are located at the conference venue on the Sutton Bonington campus while the Orchard Hotel is located on the main university campus approximately 20 min drive away and connected with a free Hopper bus service every hour. Morning and evening pick up from the Hotel to and from the conference venue will be arranged if required.

    All rooms (Halls and Hotel) are en-suite and provided with

     While we encourage all delegates to stay on campus with us, some local delegates might opt for no-accommodation. Please let us know and we shall get back to you concerning fees.

  • We have some limited funds available (mostly from our sponsors) specifically to support attendance of PGR or ECR (within 3 years of thesis submission) delegates. If you wish to apply for a bursary (these are likely to be between £200-£500), please send your abstract and pay the conference fee. The selection for these bursaries is on a first-come-first served basis. The final announcement of candidates supported will be made by April 15, 2026. No applications can be considered after this date.

    Additionally, please apply to your institution, industry partners, government or sponsors directly for travel funds.

  • Nottingham is accessible via the major UK airports.‍ ‍

    • East Midlands Airport is the closest to the city. A direct Skylink bus route connects the airport to Nottingham (every 30 minutes).

    • Birmingham Airport is regionally close and connects to Nottingham via National Rail services (approx. 1 hour travel time).

    • London airports (Heathrow, Gatwick and Luton) are a feasible travel option, and connect to Nottingham via National Rail services (approx. 2.5 hour travel time).

  • ‍Conference delegates may need a visa to visit the UK. You can check here whether you require a visa before you travel.

    By car

    We advise driving to University Park Campus, to park your car at your accommodation. All inter-campus travel will be provided via bus.

    ‍The University is close to Junction 25 of the M1. From there, the A52 leads to the campus. Local signage is good.

    By train

    The closest train stations are Nottingham and Beeston stations. Please note that for train travel in the UK, tickets must be purchased in advance of travel, either online (click here) or at a ticket machine in the departure station.

    • ‍From Nottingham station: You can get to the University directly on the Tram (every 10 minutes), the SkyLink bus (every 20 minutes) and the 34 bus (every 30 minutes).

    • From Beeston station: You can walk to the University, which takes around 20 minutes. You can also take the SkyLink bus (every 20 minutes) or 18 bus (every 30 minutes)

Sutton Bonington Arboretum

Sutton Bonington Village is a beautiful old English village with two historic churches, a country house, pubs, art gallery and river soar trail.

Extra events for delegates and guests are also being organised during conference days.
